In March 2022, I was absolutely over the moon to receive a Gold medal, Best in Class, Best Senior Exhibit and Best Pastry Exhibit for my Petit Fours!
It was a privilege to be chosen to demonstrate at the Scottish Chefs Conference to so many in the industry at the EICC in 2019!
The Scottish Culinary are over the moon to win double silver medals at the IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart! And for me personally, a dream come true to be team Pastry Chef for the event.
It was an adrenaline filled trip! I'm proud to have represented Scotland in such a high profile competition, with such a brilliant result. It was a privilege to work with some of the best chefs in the country.

Shona Sutherland is an elected member of the Association of Pastry Chefs. It is a society to bring together, support, and develop pastry chefs, chocolatiers, commis and companies, while providing a platform to exchange ideas and recipes, encouraging highest standards in the industry.
I am delighted to be accepted as a full member and board member of The Master Chefs of Great Britain! The association has as exclusive membership made up of some of the most notable head chefs, chef/patrons and pastry chefs from around the country.
The MCGB main aims are the training and development of young chefs and promotion of the best produce available in Britain.
As a member of the Scottish Culinary team, I was lucky enough to go to the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg in November 2018!
I had created a chocolate showpiece to display in the individual event, which was transported in parts in a van to Luxembourg, and then I spent 2 days preparing the more delicate additions while in a local canteen kitchen, kindly loaned to the whole team by the Luxemburger Wort newspaper.
I was over the moon to receive a bronze medal! The standard of work and creativity was jaw dropping at the event, see more on my Facebook page!
I was delighted to receive a bronze medal for the Food Photography class at ScotHot Culinary Championships! To get a medal for images I'd not taken specifically for the competition, but ones I'd taken for social media from previous work i had created, was a lovely surprise!

I was delighted to be a finalist for Patisserie Chef of the Year at the Catering Industry Scotland Excellence Awards, held in Glasgow on the 30th of May......and utterly over the moon to win it!
Against tough competition in such a prestigious event, this really is a dream come true. The Federation of Chefs Scotland's aim is to promote excellence throughout the industry in Scotland, supporting and developing chefs skills. They operate the Scottish Culinary Championships at ScotHot, one of the most prestigious Salon Culinaires in the the UK, bringing together over 300 chefs to display their creative talents.

I am very proud to be a member of the Scottish Culinary Team. We had a successful trip to the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg in November 2018, where the Hot Kitchen Team won a Silver medal, serving 110 full exquisite meals under great scrutiny, while I was overwhelmed to win a Bronze medal for my Chocolate Showpiece! The artistry of the event overall was mind blowing! We are currently planning and practicing for the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart in February 2020, which is going to be an adrenaline fuelled trip I'm sure!

At the glittering Scottish Wedding Awards 2017 at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, Taystful was delighted to receive the Award for the North Region 'Cake Designer of the Year'! It was great to share the evening with North Region 'Florist of the Year' Something Special Flowers, and winners of last year's overall award for 'Specialist Supplier of the Year' Gordon's Cater Hire!
