Scottish Baking Awards - some behind the scenes of making the cake!

These pictures give an rough idea of a few of the many stages to make the competition cake and wood effect stand for the Scottish Baking Awards! A wide range of techniques are involved. I seem not to have any pictures of the flower or berries...maybe a class on these aspects would be fun!

Overall, without all the protyping and versions I made, it would probably have taken about 2 whole days to make from scratch!
